Facilities
Lee Curtis Racing Stables is part of the giant oncourse training complex which is situated at the south-western corner of Rosehill Gardens racecourse.

The complex opened in 2000 and is now home to 10 trainers who put the polish on 300 horses which are housed in six barns, two of which are two-storeys.

The complex boasts a ‘House Full’ sign – little wonder when you have a gander at the on-site facilities for both man and beast.

  • Each barn has 20 huge stalls (7.5m x 3m) and a 8m high ceiling to help with ventilation. Each barn has a tack-room, feed room, toilet/shower and upstairs, office and kitchen/rest room.
  • Swimming pool. The pool is 75 metres long and 3 metres deep with walkways either side.
  • 8 walkers. Each of these walkers accommodates 10 horses.
  • Washbays. There are 12 of these 4-unit washbays scattered throughout the complex.
  • Sand rolls. The are also a dozen of these throughout the complex.
  • A compactor which….compacts, of course.. .. around 12 tonnes of manure and sawdust from each day’s mucking out of horse stalls.
  • Tunnel access to Rosehill Garden’s magnificent training tracks. The racecourse boasts five training tracks – course proper, A grass, sand, A cinders, B cinders – and two smaller warm-up tracks for horses to either trot or canter.
Yep, virtual Horsey Heaven!
